Good on paper, not so good on the field.

The picture above sums up this year's Dodger season. It began looking very promising with the acquisition of a very talented and successful manager, Joe Torre. It looked even better when we got Manny Ramirez at the trade deadline.

So why can't the Dodgers get a single win right now? They have lost 8 straight games, being swept in the last 2 series, including by a team (Washington Nationals) that is considered so bad, they are known as the Triple-A team of the majors. They have the worst record in the majors. What does that say about the Dodgers?

Now is a perfect opportunity to gain some ground against the division-leading Diamondbacks. I'd really hate to see the Dodgers not even make the playoffs with Torre managing, and Manny Ramirez playing as well as he is with the Dodgers now.

No matter what happens, though, I'm still a fan of the Dodgers and will stand behind them!

Let's go, Dodgers!!!

Staind/Seether

I recently heard of some good news in the concert scene. I just found out that two of my favorite all time bands are touring together in the states.

I have been listening to Staind since as far back as I can remember. The first time I saw them perform was with KoRn in the Sick and Twisted tour in 2000, I believe.

One of the main reasons why I enjoy their music so much is because of Aaron Lewis. He always sings with such emotion that you can feel it through his voice and lyrics.

Sometime around 2002, a friend of mine had let me borrow his Sony miniDisc player. That was when I first of Seether. The first song was Broken. It wasn't the one with Amy Lee though. It was the original. I
was instantly hooked. He also had Driven Under and Fine Again which are still a couple of my favorite songs.

I've had the pleasure of seeing Staind 4 times, and Seether twice. Both bands are amazing live. Somewhere deeper in this blog, you can find some live pictures of taken of Seether performing.

Below are are videos of their latest singles.

Staind - Believe
The Illusion Of Progress

Seether - Rise Above This
Finding Beauty In Negative Places

Come What(ever) May

I've been wanting to write all day, but I really don't know what to write about. I just had the urge to, yet nothing comes to mind when it comes down to it. So... here I am, writing about nothing, I guess. Maybe as I go on, something will come to mind.

I've been having a rough time with people lately. Friends, employees, you name it. I had a great time over the weekend with certain friends, but others just make me not want to be so nice anymore. I won't get into detail since this is a public blog. I may go in depth in my more personal journal that only a select few can read. I apologize to those who don't have access to it.

Anyway, I suppose I can share a piece of audio I found. This is a lost (but obviously found) tape of Larry King back when he had a radio show just before 1994.

Drunk or extremely exhausted? You make the call.

I especially enjoy the part in the audio with :25 seconds to go. Awesomeness.

The Day That Never Comes

So... I just heard the first single (?) of Metallica's new album Death Magnetic (or some stupid shit like that) called The Day The Never Comes.

Well, it happened...

"The saddest thing in the world,
is loving someone who used to love you."

So, it finally happened. I broke down. I fooled myself for thinking I am ok. I am not, and I probably won't be for a very long time.
